MILMED AB is a Swedish company with head office and production at Färjestaden, Öland. The company was started in 2001, and since then has developed methods for application and optimal areas of application. Of special interest is elite sportspersons who experience that their training and competing is repeatedly disrupted by colds and other types of infections. There are a number of other areas of great potential interest but research and development is fully occupied with identifying the right methods for optimal results.
The concept was borne fifty years ago in one of the Russian Soviets’ scientific centrums in the Moscow region. At that time, a positive effect of millimeter waves (waves with wavelength of between 1 and 10 mm) upon biological tissue was discovered. The research was led by the state and until 1973 was Highly Secret. It was directed by Academician N. D. Devjatkov, and carried out by Professor M.B.Golant.

They discovered that living organic structures are affected positively by these waves. Electromagnetic fields of ‘extremely-high’ frequencies (from 30 GHz till 300 GHz) synchronize cellular rhythms and carry control signals in biological systems. Biomedical studies were carried out at the renowned special clinics in Moscow. The methods have been developed and are now highly popular in Russia. Research on these concepts is maintained at various centers in the USA, Germany, France and Italy. |

The research highly advanced when Professor M.B.Golant developed the MILMED drink and showed that one could achieve a positive effect of cellular treatment instead of applying therapeutic appliances for external treatment. The type of drink used contains living cells of a specially treated yeast culture which is processed so that it maintains the capacity to exert an influence upon human organs and an influence upon relations between cells, stimulating rehabilitation processes.
Professor M.B.Golant started in 1994 a company, named MILMED in Russia. The name, MILMED, is derived from “millimeter medicine” named for by electromagnetic wave length. Since then, one of the company’s ambitions has been to pursue development, production and marketing of the MILMED drink. Fifteen years later, the drink remains a unique product. In 1999, collaboration with Swedish interests was initiated. The Swedish company, MILMED, has been accepted by National Administrations for production of the drink. The executive committee consists of coworkers and heirs to Professor M.B. Golant. Researchers and personnel involved since it was started in Russia work now for the company.
